Pre-Orders are Underway!
The world’s first plate-loaded atlas stone! Over the last 5 years, our flagship product, The Stone of Steel, has transformed from a sketch on a coffee shop napkin to a world-class piece of equipment that has graced the world’s most prestigious strength stages, gyms, garages, colleges, military bases & schools around the world.
Using the plates you already own, The Stone of Steel can be loaded from 135lbs to 450+lbs.
To bring you this high-quality and intricately made piece of equipment as efficiently as possible, we only offer this product through our website when we have our custom formed hemispheres in-house for the 20” Stone of Steel.
The SOS allows for the obvious advantages like space-saving & far less mess, but it also allows lifters to incrementally load the for long-term progress, just like a barbell.
Due to increases in material costs and the unique, custom metal processing required to produce the one-of-a kind Stone of Steel, the SOS will now only be sold in periodic pre-order runs. Building in very high quantity allows us to deliver this world-class product to our loyal customers at the absolute lowest retail cost possible.

Ian Grunwald (verified owner) –
I love the Stone of Steel! I do not have anywhere near enough room in my garage for a series of atlas stones, not to mention I’m not strong enough for most 20″ stones anyhow, so this was exactly the solution I was looking for! There’s a small learning curve for loading it, but after three times adjusting it you get used to it.
